The Texas Pot of Gold Foundation was formed to provide to the members of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls of Texas opportunities for self‑improvement in their mental, physical, moral, and spiritual development, through programs in athletics, education, leadership, sportsmanship, citizenship, morality, and public speaking. The fraternal, religious, ritualistic, social, athletic and leadership training activities of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls provide excellent activities which meet the general purpose of the Texas Pot of Gold Foundation, and the promotion and support of this youth group shall be its primary concern.
The Texas Pot of Gold Foundation provides scholarships for members of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls of Texas. Activities of the W. Mark Sexson Loan Fund, The Victor C. and Martha Marie Whitfield Scholarship Fund and the Let’s Be Thankful Fund were transferred to the Texas Pot of Gold Foundation. The Foundation will also develop educational and leadership training for Texas Rainbow Girls.
The Texas Pot of Gold Foundation was formed with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) designation and therefore qualifies for tax advantaged giving. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of Trustees who serve for five year terms. All Trustees may be reappointed. The initial Board of Directors met at Grand Assembly in Waco for the first time in 2004.
